Estimating PEP power on SSB using "normal" meter

Whistling into the mic works well if you're tuning the radio for your pet parrot to use.

Are you tuning radios or just monitoring yours?

Not an expert here but as far as monitoring a station is concerned I've never seen any need to know exactly how many watts I'm putting out, I just look for a change from the norm to indicate a possible problem but don't worry about the actual number itself.

Note that I can see situations where an accurate reading is a necessity but IMHO most people tend to worry about meter accuracy more than they really have to.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
