Galaxy DX-2547 LED display lights don't come On

Hello all,
Received from work a DX-2547 but when it powers On the LED display lights and backlight does not come On. I don't have an antenna plugged in to it. Any suggestions?

There is a knob marked "dimmer", second knob below the dead center of the meter, more or less. Turn it to the right.

If this doesn't help, something's broke.

Um, yeah. A new bulb. Better to use a LED/dropping resistor. They show up on fleabay with wires and the resistor already in between one wire and the LED, with heat shrink covering it. The original incandescent lamps are only good for a couple of years at most. LEDs tend to last longer.

This guy will sell you one that he says doesn't need a resistor. But you'll have to lap-solder the wires from the old bulb to the new LED and slides some insulating sleeve over the exposed leads.

Likely burnt out, have someone replace the bulb with a LED instead, last longer and look better too!
