That's the message I found in my spambox of my email this morning so I went to his web site to verify it. He has helped me a couple of times with radio problems and he is the one who Identified the bad part in my Lincoln II+ SSB circuit and would have replaced it if he had it but since he didn't have the part he suggested I return it to President Radio. They replaced the part but never aligned it. Then I took it to a closer shop for alignment. But if it wasn't for Bob I probably wouldn't be talking on it today. Plus I bought my DX 2547 from him new and he unlocked the clarifier and I find that works well for what it is ! I hate to see us lose more Good techs.
I'm afraid your right nomad, when your in his spot you can only post pone the end so long. Was wondering do you have a apprentice your passing your secrets on to? If not guys like me will be in Deep do-do ! I wish I would have got back in to radio earlier but at 75 YO I have too much finish up work to complete before I pass the torch.
