Going for the dive and getting ready for the ticket

Well fellas after so many years in the world of cb I've made the decision to get my ticket. I've already started studying for the technicians with general soon to follow. I've contacted the local amateur radio club and found that testing is the first Saturday of each month so I plan to test in August, hopefully.......
The plan is to take both tests so hopefully it'll come together.

A great choice and one I think you'll be really happy with. I have no doubt you'll sail thru both exams. And then you'll have a whole new world of radio to play in. If you like DXing you'll be in tall cotton. Especially on HF.

There is a lot of overlapping material from tech to general, so once you start acing the tech practice exams, you are already half way to general. Good luck, though I doubt you’ll need it!

Yes, do both tests.

As you can see, the Tech class is too limiting.

Just a thought, you have time to get proficient at the tech/general class tests, consider the extra class while you are still in study mode.
