The post at the start of this thread says "3:50 pm". It was 11:50 AM here in the eastern-daylight time zone when I posted it.
Makes the time you see here attached to a post appear to be "Zulu" or UTC. Used to be called GMT.

Look at your account info under Preferences. The second line down is where you can set your local time zone. Mine is set to UTC-4 hours Atlantic Time so I see all posts times in my local time. Everyone can do that.
