If it removes nail polish imagine what it will do to the inside of an engine.
Probably clean the injectors real good but like mentioned before the rest of the engine wont fair to well.

I've used Chevron Techron fuel treatment for many years. Nothing comes close to doing what it does. It'll help clean injectors and keep the fuel system healthy. Shop around for it. Around here it goes anywhere from $4.95 to $9.95 a bottle.
