I run a Phillipines 122 daily in my mobile. Excellent radio.
That's why I couldn't resist buying it. I've heard nothing but good about that radio on sideband , it's a older radio, and it's a Phillipines made. I've been keeping my eyes open for one to surface. Now I just pray it is really NOS. If it is I just might Fix that aggravating McKinley with my BFH ! LOL !

Was wondering does anyone have a PDF file of the service manual for the Uniden PC- 122 they would share with me. Thanks if you do. First thing I might do is lower the dead key and turn up the modulation. Of coarse after I check it out as stock.

All of the Uniden radios were manufactured in the Philippines.
Until 1978 or so, Universal Denshi Corporation built radios in Japan. Moved to Taiwan until 1989. Moved to the Philippines. Stayed there through the 90s and all their production I know about the last 18 or so years has been in China.
They didn't go country hopping like Cobra did.
Cobra didn't so much go country-hopping as they did country-following. They hire an offshore manufacturing vendor who puts their name badge on the radios they build. Cobra has sold radios made in Thailand in the 1980s, Malaysia in the early-to-mid 90s. The 148 came out of Singapore for a year or so. Cobra doesn't make radios. They import, market and sell them. The low bidder makes the radios.

Thanks for the info, from what I gather my NOS PC 122 was made in the 90s so it will hopefully last as long as I will unless I get stupid and blow it up. I'll handle it with tender loving care. LOL

You can find the service manual on the cb tricks web site. You can use the one for the Realsitic TRC-453 or TRC-465 as they share the same chassis.

My first thought was the i.r.s. may be interested in a long term money making scam without proper taxes being paid..probably more than electronics involved.

My first thought was why hasn't someone paid him a visit. I mean, his address is posted above.

Good news! I opened an appeal case after eBay sided with superhawkwss6. I also opened an IC3 case & sent that information to eBay. Within an hour they responded, reversed their decision and returned all of my money. Unfortunately, superhawkwss6 stole my CB radio and eBay will likely not suspend or close his account, but rather allow him to continue his criminal activity. I think I'll still file a report with our sheriff's dept (the sheriff is a friend of mine) though I know this type of crime isn't worth their time. This guy needs to be stopped and I'm certainly going to do my best to make that happen.
