I don't wish bad luck on anybody but your making me feel better.It's only suppose to go down to 2 degrees F tonight with a high of 12 degrees F tomorrow. I have 2 coal stoves burning so I'll hibernate in the house tomorrow.
Mildest and wettest winter in decades out here on the west coast of BC. The coldest it got all winter so far was -2C. Sitting at +2C right now. Been up to +10C lots of days. We have however had biblical amounts of rain.....lots of flooded river valleys and such.
The big concern here is that the snowpack in the mountains is at an all time low, and that will be a big problem in the summer as that melting snow feeds rivers that millions of people depend on for their domestic water. Also it will massively increase the forest fire risk, and more fires is the last thing we need!

These last couple of days we're experiencing ice quakes. The sound like sonic booms during the day. Shake the ground and the house.
