How to hook up Function Generator for 30mV 1k test tones

I have this function generator:


Which pins do I need to connect to the FG? 1 and 2? How do I send it PTT?

Audio to 1 and 2. Make a switch for ptt hanging on a wires from socket. As simple as that.
Personally I have it shorted in a plug.

don't think so. That would be easier. I have connected it to the RF jumper going to the so239 and gotten frequency receive/measure

I have one also. I ended up using a phone app to the mic.

Just build a super simple audio/key box, Thats what i did. Small project box, bnc for audio in, 4 and 5 pin mic cords for audio out, toggle switch on top to tx. Suuuuper simple and cheap to build, and works perfectly.

My bad. I thought I had seen where these went up to 30 MHz. Just looked and they do go to 15 MHz. If they DID give you the capability to output an AM modulated waveform.... you could use them for tuning IFs or even lower band HF stuff.

Just thinking of possibilities....

This is just the source for the modulation to be analyzed by the scope. You will need a scope too.
