I have (2) HR2510's both with the same symptoms.
10 watts on AM, wont swing any more, 25 watts on USB/LSB not that I even talk on AM but in case of an emergency situation, its best to have it working properly. I have checked on both my MFJ digital and Dosy PDC600. I am stumped.

GnawBone,
As Handy Andy explained a few days ago-

HR=Ham Radio(? Maybe-I added that!)
25=25 watts output SSB
10=10 watts output AM

For survival sake of this radio, I would glue the covers on it!

I'm stumped too, no one has ever posted the symptoms of a working radio out here.

Usually we find Charity Cases and Dumpster Dive Divas...

If this helps...

IT WORKS! (y)

(Don't fix it...)

The OP didn't say if there is deadkey power on A M.

If there is a deadkey power and then a swing to 10 watts, then both radios are fine. It just sounds like these radio's were turned down to run an amp.

The radio deadkey power should turned up to 6 watts and the peak swing should be about 25 watts.

25 watts on SSB is normal for these radio's.
