HTX-10 mod for expansion

From what I recall, Radio Shack locked this rig down. I've seen proposed mods and they've all been useless.

I recently seen a local Facebook post which had a NOS HTX-10 for sale. Dude wanted $125 for it. His ad mentioned it could be modded for 11 meters.

So, is there an actual working mod for the HTX-10?

CPU swap is only way to expand proper way.
You can swap crystal on CPU board from 22 MHz to 20 MHz, radio will go down by 2MHz but readout stays the same.

I saw a mod for it a while back. I think it was radionut. On you tube. But it only did AM Nd USB.

I believe that was for the HTX-100, not 10.

I tried telling this fool it can't be done. Said all you have to do is change some resistors and such, before reminding me he does this for a living and not hobby. Guess the new owner will find out if he decides to convert.

htx 100 has many mods available but htx 10 has none
