Better off with a Screwdriver antenna with some radials & they can be used with Legal Limit with many models. They don't attract much attention at ground level & they work very well.
Friend of mine sent me that same ad yesterday, I knew right away it was a fake especially being April 1st.
Back when hobby and other magazines were popular, some editiors would post fake ads or fake stories in their April editions.
This is nothing new and all in the spirit of April fools so don't feel upset if any you fell for that Icom ad.

As someone who has two air tents that use the same principle in that picture, I think we have the technology to make such a tower, but it would be so damn heavy it wouldn't be worth it... One of my tents is 10' by 6', and weighs about 60 lb, the other is 13' by 10', and weighs about 150 lb. The big weight on these tents is the PVC compressed air tubes that hold the tent up. This "tower" would require significantly more of the PVC material then my bigger tent... We are likely looking at 350 to 400 lb or more... And there is so much air inside it would take forever to inflate/deflate... But I still think it could be done...
That being said, pneumatic telescopic masts are actually a thing, and would be much cheaper and lighter than that monstrosity... I'm surprised they aren't talked about and used more widely.

I have another name for April Fools Day but it offends so many these days & I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings. I would not want to offend them since they are very sensitive & everyone is against them. I'm a BIG fan of ICOM for the most part even if they totally Lack Support for anything not currently being sold at Inflated Prices. Inflated like the ICOM Tower which would offer more support than ICOM themselves. LOL
