The Earth is not big enough for what they want to do. Even if it was, powering it is not practical on a terrestrial scale. Check this out:
Wonder if Google is planting all of that in Nevada. They bought a BIG chunk of land many years ago. (Circa 2017?).
Reason I know this is because at the end of a work day, some rock crushing equipment got moved just off the side of the road onto some bare land... Not even half hour later or so, the person got a call from Google saying to move the equipment off their land.....
Stayed another couple of hours just to move the equipment across the road to the other side.... :/ lol.... It was going to be moved completely out next morning.

Living in Southern Nevada since the late 60's, in a population of then 150,000 or less, I remember having to implement water saving measures. No watering the grass, no washing your car, and on and on. Several times in fact through the 70's as well with we have no water mantra. Now we're in a time of about 3 million in the Vegas Valley...and there seems to be plenty of water.
Just sayin.
