Got to love Amp builders b.s.That amp would have to be 110% efficient to get 580 watts out. We could solve the worlds power problems with devices like that. Maybe it's final dc input power at 15.3 volts for 5 seconds

Actually I have seen 2879`s survive 20 volts before, but damn that heat sink gets hot fast.

As long as it holds together for a 10 second keydown! The life expectancy of a 2879 running on 20 volts is measured in seconds.
