todays the day you cant run rabbit ears on your tv without a box..i wouldnt wanna be a lowpass filter salesmen now..

LOL welcome to the world of progress. digital signals suck azz and what I mean by that statement is the same scenario of tubes vs transistors.

theres still computers and stereos and phones as well as other appliances that they will help with . but i see your point .

Digital television by itself is fine, what sucks is the heavy compression they use on hi-def signals on the cable tv. It makes fast-action scenes look all blocky and distorted colors.

But the good side for analog TV being shut off is the 54 - 88MHz and 174 - 216MHz bands being free for the taking. squatters rights.

Digital TV (ATSC) is only on the UHF channels.

Shoot, is it off already? I was going to take time lapse of the spectrum and watch the signals drop off one by one...

The other good thing about digital is that the broadcasters now have the capability to charge for programming, just like the cable folks...

I just bet that the fcc already has a check in it's pocket for that allocation.

Are those the right freqs?

it would be interesting if you got a box for your tv to test it for tvi whilst tx,ing in your own home to see if theres any difference for tvi .

yep it will airplane . it can still enter through circutry other than the antenna input . i would think cheaper units with presumably poorer design/construction would have more potiental for problems . but that certianly isnt absolute .
