I recently got my hands on a Luiton LT-778 mobile transceiver. It is a basic AM/FM radio without VOX, DSP Noise Reduction or even a menu for user functions. All the functions are with buttons on the front of the radio making it a great candidate for mobile use; menus can be quite distracting while driving, and it is probably the best value around in watts per dollar at $100 for 60 watts.
