Magnum S45HP SSB Receive issue

As stated, the SSB receive on my S45HP is not working properly. First off, the digital RF meter is pegged on USB and LSB even when there is little to no "traffic", the analog needle is also pegged even with a low noise level and no receivable signal. The issue seems worse on USB than LSB. When I switch to AM, the received signal and even static is noticeably louder, even though it might be garbled if I'm hearing an SSB signal while the radio is on ch 38AM. Also, both meters seem to "match" the received signal on AM. I've tried the radio connected to my dipole at the house and in my mobile and the same issue persists.
To clarify, the radio is receiving while in SSB mode, albeit not as well as in AM, but the audible sound is muffled on LSB and the meters are maxed out as described above.

I recently replaced the talkback board in the radio and based on the schematic, I'm 98% certain I have it wired correctly. This issue seems to have popped up while the radio has been in storage and unused since last August. Any help is appreciated.

I'm sending one off on the 12th because when you turn up the rf power on ssb, and make a transmission, when you un key the mic there is zero receive audio. You must turn the entire transceiver off and back on again to re gain receive audio.

Sorry that isn't much if an answer to your question. In the flip side, this radio I speak of smokes the air waves when tramsmitting. It has super clean loud audio. Hopefully a simple little glitch...

I have already sent mine in for repair once guess im gonna have to do it again...{Cry_river}

Where are yall sending them to for repair? I walked in to the local guy's shop here with the Magnum and he started grumbling, and that was with the talkback board.

I emailed Sam Lewis since it was right at a year old, but has had the problem since birth. It should be under warrantee.

The Radio Shop in Ontario,CA is/was a Magnum repair center and they do good work. Doug at Custom CB has also done fine work for me in the past. Bob's CB is super with Magnum radio's........but they are not taking repair work right now. As good as DTB is he does not care for Magnum radio's so I would skip that option.

They told me to send mine to a different shop, it was located in the US, ricks radio shop or something. You called rf limited and spoke with the customer service rep right? They will tell til the closest service center to you or should anyhow. I would think there would be. Anyway hope you get it resolved. God bless.
