I will not go passed Windows 10. I barely went to it in 2021.

After this? Going to some distribution of Linux. And even I dislike the way Linux is done with all its confusing files and scattered in a million folders.

I miss the Commodore Amiga days...

Personally, my own gear, Windows hasn't felt right since 98, and while I eventually grew to love XP, Vista burned my MS bridge and Linux distros filled in for my needs. It was going to happen regardless. A clumsy week or two learning to walk again was well worth the inconvenience.

While I don't know about the veracity of that YouTube channel it does seem that the ideas presented are in line with what MS is already doing to enshittify Win 11.

Still, if you plan on dumping Windows for Linux I will say be careful. It could turn into a career like it did for me.

After almost forty years in IT, I will never use Windoze at home. I’ve dealt with their bloated, poorly coded mess for decades, and that’s more than enough for one lifetime. My main laptop runs Linux, and I keep a couple of Macs around for my photography business. I’d happily use Linux for that too, but Linux still doesn’t understand what color management actually means—and at this point, it’s clear it never will.

I do keep a Windows 10 VM on my laptop, but only for one purpose: programming radios. Everything else, including CHIRP, runs natively on Linux outside the VM.

I still use windows 10 but at almost 76 YO I guess I'll have to learn Linux like I've been thinking for some time. It's either that or throw the computers out the door and go back to the old way of the Dark Ages.

I just went to WIN 10 (last month), after using WIN 7 for a while. I don't like being forced to have to buy a new motherboard just to change OS.
I just recently bought the Z270-A PRO MSI MB I have, well a couple of years now.
I like to use Streets and Trips still, and 10 seems to work with it.
But then again, I still run old radio as well...living in the past.
