My MB has the option for the TPM 2.0, but, that alone, from what I understand, will still not let you install WIN11. It also has to have a MB supported processor that supports whatever MS put into the WIN11 security requirement. I contacted MSI to check if there was a way to install WIN11 as I do have a copy, their tech guy said I would need an upgraded MB for the correct processor. Of course they want to sell MB's as well.
I'm not a computer wiz, but that's my understanding from scouring the web. Not looking for any argument, just putting out what I ran into when scoping it out.
I think I also looked at what you're pointing out, but doesn't that take out all the security protections that WIN 11 has to offer by going that route? Not that WIN 10 has it, and will loose protections once the grace period runs out, but some of that can be supplemented with 3rd party anti-virus and malware. ASUS routers have some included securities built in as well as VPN support...which I use.
I most likely would have stayed with WIN 7 if hardware and software was still being supported, but it all dropped off for the most part.
Thanks
