Let's see, it's on the desk and has a thermometer built in.

Must be a plate warmer.
The label in the lower left corner, indicates what it is, as well :)
Also, it's a signature model, as indicated by the scribble above said label. :p

Ahh garage-built amp? I never found the need for an amp so I don't follow the different amp builders. Nice setup

Actually, it's been nothing but headaches. I have been getting numerous reports of my Radioddity QT 60 sounding crispy on SSB, so I sent it in for warranty repair, and they cannot find any issues with it. I thought I had a bad power supply, so got a new one. Same issue. I'm using a 75A HP power supply, and I get constant reports of the audio sounding crispy on SSB, and almost everyone asks if I'm using an adequate power supply.

Not to mention the other issues I'm having.

Maybe it's coming from your amp ?

I hope someone knowledgeable chimes in to help you. I'm still sorting thru my issues but most of mine is this stinking valley. And not dedicating a life time to the radio hobby doesn't help !

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes

Wes, it's better if you start a thread on the main forum, more people are going to see your question.
