Need recommendations on new mobile under $200

Okay, I want a new mobile radio. It needs to be under $200 and preferably under $150 if possible.

My requirements:

AM/SSB

Channel expansion

Good Audio/Receive

Very good Noise rejection (static/engine noise not so much channel rejection)

Able to install a variable wattage control for driving my driver

Additional things that I would really like to have:

Durable

Chrome

Frequency counter

Dual finals (yeah right for under $150 right?)

Some I have glanced at are:

TR-696F

Galaxy DX-959

Superstar 3900 (is there still an easy add on freq counter for this? the radio is soooo cheap)

Eagle Sidewinder

Voyage VR 9000

Magnum 257

Magnum Maverick A24

Magnum Delta Force (looks like a badass radio, but maybe a little outta tha budget, but if it's totally badass I might pay more)

Okay, there may have been some in this price range that I am missing, if there is and they are highly recommended let me know.

Which one and why? I want a decent performer, it doesn't have to be the best. Less expensive is better for me at this point in time, but I don't want to buy a piece of junk for $150 if I could have bought a better radio for the same price. You know what I mean?

So help me.

Thanks!

Yeah on what Highlander said. The magnum 257 is one of the better values out there right now. Small package, but very strong and excellent audio. It is true what they say, Dynamite comes in small packages.<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/laugh.gif ALT=":lol">

Gotta watch the Magnums for excessive RX noise! I've had problems with a Delta and a Titan. Just be aware!

Well, i think the 257 should be a nice choice, you just have to get use to the buttons, but other then that, it is simple!! Also, it all depends on if you want it for am or SSB, because i can name a few that will blow smoke!

443, if you don't care about ssb, check out the radio related stuff for sale. 211 has a Rebel face Connex 3300HP for sale right around the price you want to spend. These radios talk loud and clean and have great receive, (but no ssb). Maybe you could work out a deal with him?? Great radios, and just a suggestion.

443, Hoosier Camel Jockey had (has) a HR2510 or an HR2600 for sale for around the price you want to spend. You might want to check with him. I didn't buy it because it didn't have the chipswitch, and I found one with the chipswitch for a steal of a price.
