Hey, I'm new to shortwave listening too—just got started recently and still learning the ropes!

I picked up my first radio not long ago (still figuring out how to get the best reception), and it's been exciting to hear stations from across the world. Right now I’m just exploring the bands and seeing what I can catch—mostly in the evenings.

Glad to know there are other beginners here. Looking forward to learning together.

Remember, that radio is just addition to antenna. So focus on that.

Like SP5IT said. Put up an antenna and figure out what you can hear with it. If you can get the ARRL Antenna handbook that would be good, any old edition will work.
