No Ground

well now, after reading all the posts re. grounding, i have come to
two conclusions,you should either ground your antenna,or not ground your antenna.whew.

if your antenna is on the roof,it makes sense to run some kind of grounding wire to the earth,if for no other reason to relieve static
buildup.

for my (unusual) setup,i am attaching galvanized steel conduit to the
side of a steel shipping container,with paint removed from the container where the conduit is attached,also the metal conduit will be buried about 1 foot in the earth.

now you have a steel container setting on the earth,a metal conduit
1 foot in the ground,if that sucker isn't grounded to earth,nothing
in the world is better grounded.

adding a ground rod and a tiny piece of wire,or even #2 battery
cable would make absolutely no difference.

thats just my 2 cents
