Premiere Electronics has been selling a few and they have had very few problems out of them so far. Of course the luck could change.

Not only that but the Magnum S3 is out as well. I read a post about how they look alot like the Northpoint radio's that are out. Do the Magnum S3 and S9 share designs with these two Northpoint radio's ?

KEEP US UP TO DATE ON THIS RIG, COME ON EVERYBODY. I am as hungry as everyone out there to try this radio, but i am needing that push because of what some people say with them having problems.

The Quality of these radios is ok. Performance isn't bad either. Any rate no one is able to really say whether reliability is good or bad so far. It comes down to it whether it is tuned up right. Most of the problems out of the box with these has been alignment is off on freq. Transmit/Reciever

I did two this week. The first had the "choppy" or "distorted" sound in the mtx mode. In the standard mode I got mega flowers and otherwise turned out great. The second actually worked fine in mtx and std modes.

It seems it's a dice roll of wether it will work in the "top gun modulator" mode or "mtx" mode, but they can work well in the standard mode and can be tuned accordingly.

Well, i got it from Bob's CB because he is the one who made the Top Gun modulator and the Sp1-A speech processor. So who better to send that radio to then him huh? Also i heard he has had many years in CB and is a VERY smart man with good skillsa ,so this is my frist time trying him, i cant WAIT t oget the raidio this week, it will sure to be a great rig. I am a RCI guy myself and this took a bunch of thinking to go with this rig, so.

UPDATE. I have since then gotten a omega force to try out, i got it from Bobs Cb since he was the one who made the Top gun board for those radio's, I had him tune it and align it to perfection. The Radio is AWESOME, i mean it has a AWESOME receive, one of the best that i have had in my life, LOL. The Output power was aroind 40 to 50 watts , depending on the band i was on. I sold it a few days ago to a friend off the forum because i got a 2970DX to play with . I in the Future plan on getting another no doubt, so put al lthose galaxy radios in the trash or on a shelf, there is a new king in town and its name is Magnum Omega Force.

I'm looking for a new moble radio to talk barefoot and drive my 2x8 DaveMade. Would you folks that have tried the Omega recommend this radio without reservation? It would be nice to have a radio that booms on tx and has excellent rx.

Also, I take it Bob @ bob's cb is the guy to get one from???

Thanks, Hossless

I just ordered an Omega Force from Bob @ Bob's cb. I'll post what I think when I get it and have a chance to try it out.

OK, I got home last night from the road, and the Omega was here. I hooked it up and noticed the receive is very good. Only problem is, it is only swinging 10-12 watts in standard mode and around 30 watts in the modulator mode - this is on three different meters. Great reports, but I have never had a dual final radio only swing 10-12 watts PERIOD. I called Bob @ Bob's cb and he didn't have an answer. So now I have to send it back to him.<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/mad.gif ALT=">:"> Also, the knobs are pretty cheap, and the frequency dial seems to be cheap, the channel changes before I fully turn the channel selector a full click - just have to turn it a hair and it goes to next channel. The knobs and channel selector I can live with, but I am very dissapointed in the swing problem.<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/ohwell.gif ALT=":">
