have a pal vco that was givin to me by a friend that got out of radio years ago its a pal VCO MODEL #D5 TUNING MONITOR. does anyone know what radios this will work with, and can you transmit with it. also is there a web site to get instructions on its operation. :?: :?: :?:

Type D-5 is meant to deliver 37.750 MHz on channel 13, I think.

Mostly it will fit 23-channel AM radios with 14 crystals wired to the channel selector. Proably WON'T fit one with 12-crystal synthesizer. Those radios were very common, too. Don't remember a SSB model that used 37 MHz crystals.

A lot of AM CB radios used that one. Gotta dig out the list. It's a couple of jpeg files with "Courtesy of Browning Labs Inc" overlaid on the text.

Maybe it's on their web site at www.browninglabsinc.com
