    Looks like the 6LF6 version.

    Maybe.

More than a couple of 40 year-old (or close) filter caps visible.

Could it be this clean because it never worked right?

Does tend to keep the mileage low.

It might be a basket case but either way my idea was to "just have it".
Its really a piece of history.

    $125 I couldn't pass it up.

Don't know how much cheaper you would ever hope to find one that clean.

The last few of them I have seen didn't look this good.

    right?
I figured even if the B+ winding is toast, just to have it and look at it is enough.
It's like a trans am of amps.
I'd buy a mint trans am with no engine all day.

A corner of the lid got bent a bit, no big deal.
1 meter has some rust in it but it cleaned off. I'll spay something like nutrol in it to loosen it up.
I'm happy it got here in 1 piece.

Yo 357: Inquisitive minds want to know if the tubes came with it?

Have a old Palomar Skipper 300 that I have been getting parts for over the years to run two each 4CX250B's with a separate power supply, leaving the front panel totally stock for old time sake. Palomar 300+ !

so this one runs the filaments in series and takes 120v AC to power them?

looks a lot like my Kenrich Eagle VIII, except mine is 2 driving 5 20LF6's.

im sure you already know this, but you can use 26LX6's as a sub, but i believe there is a pin to cut off or something. can't remember.

beautiful looking amp. hope you find a good deal on some tubes for it.

That should be a fun project! Looks like it was well taken care of and not butchered! Cool.

It is funny you say that! In trumpet world if a trumpet looks beautiful in it's orignal finish and was a popular design and the price is right something is normally wrong with it!
