Any power supply can be regulated or not.

An unregulated switchmode (switching-type) power supply would be a real waste of time. Never have seen one, since they first started showing up in computers around 1979 or so. The "switching" circuit IS the regulator's main control element. The only unregulated supplies you'll see use conventional heavy 60-Hz transformers/rectifiers and filters.

Thanks... I bought this Jet Stream JTPS45 to power my S9 and my cobra 200GTLDX. Is it a good choice :?: :?: It seems to hold up pretty good steady under load, and my transmit audio is reported clear ... "No humm"
Its probably fine. That link doesn't show any really important specs, such as regulation under load, etc.
