President Grant 2........?

The grant looks to be a cleaner looking board. Seems like it's not locked up as bad as the 980 from the vids I have seen so far , time will tell, i would love to get my hands on one as well. Hopefully we will have the opportunity soon.

Thats a lot of money for a single final radio that is just an opened version of the bearcat 980 which did not really impress too much.
Right now everybody is making a big fuss about it ....but it is the first new radio to hit the shelves for a few months. No 1khz steps, no split....single final...the power of the 980 did not impress and neither did the receive. I wonder if the president logo is enough to correct all the 980 shortcomings?

I was kinda excited at first...

I would like to have one, but I ain't gonna pay anything near that price.

I would rather run an Optima or a decent 257.

I very much like the looks of the Grant II. I'm not bashing it at all, except maybe the price.

x2 here. I've got a 980 hole cut into my truck dash that this'll fit perfectly. But at that price I can replace the cut section and get a different radio with similar options.
Maybe they'll be a 2nd gen that's better.

Hello gentlemen and Ladies. I have the dreaded RCI-2990 receive issue where my radio gets distorted when people get close to my location. I found the C90 Capacitor, but I can not for the life of me find the C89 capacitor. Can or does anyone have a picture of the exact location of C89 ? Thank you in advance, Wes
