President Jackson BLACK (PRE ASC) external S meter Tap

I had a Euro Jackson Black with the external S-meter jack. I sold the radio that had it but had to buy another.

This one does not have the jack. I thought I documented the location to tap.

IF someone could provide that information. It will be used with the MD-4 S meter.

I cannot believe I couldn't find it.

May not be as simple as it seems. The first paragraph of this page warns that tapping into the existing meter circuit may cause calibration issues. Has a solution involving an op amp.

Adding the MD-4 to radios with internal analog meters is more difficult than the Magnum 257 and 357DX.

Edit: it look like the jackson has an unused op amp inside you could use for this.

Easy way to use socket which disconnect internal meter when the other is connected. I've done it many times in different radios.
