i would be interested in finding out if an alinco dx 70 th can be expanded tx mod as i intend to purchase a transciever after christmas do any operators know of any good radio techs in michigan illinois or wisconsin that works on hf transcievers also any operators using these transcievers just would like to hear another operators thoughts on this particular radio thanks ...

Who are you buying the Alinco from? If you buy from Gigaparts they will Mars modify for you.
Have you considered anything besides the Alinco? For 750 you can get a Yaesu FT-857D and have more radio and money left over as they are going for 679
