Chris is a good tech, he has built some nice amps and custom radios in the past.
He designed the pa section in these radios, they are targeted at a specific user and he sells a lot of them. But for the casual user it is a bit much.
However
If the market is there you can't fault him for making a buck
I would not pay $2000 for a old Virginia long rifle, but there are guys that will.
It's what the buyer is willing to pay.......
