Now, this is the best picture I have of the radio, Look at the power supply, my eyes are not as good as they used to be, but that looks like 12 volt output @ 8.5 Amps
I say 10watts AM/FM and 25 Watts SSB...

Click and view the enlarged view, I agree with AudioShockwave, gotta be a 10/25 watt radio

copper says its 25wt on ssb 10 am,no touch screen.

They have it plainly shown on there web site as a 150 -2 watt radio.
I will post it again
From Coppers web site:

Variable Power Output from 150 watts to 2 watts - great for PSK-31 operation.
this was copied July 3, 2011, at 11;32 hours from there web site.

If they are telling you on the phone that it is a 10/25 watt radio, and advertising it as a 150 watt radio on there web site, it is a bait and switch routine and a lot of guys are going to be pissed off when they order a 150 watt radio, only to get it and find out it is not.
It would not surprise me if this is the case.

And for the record.....

...that power supply won't handle the output of the radio once it has a peak & tune. The Galaxy DX2547's had the same supply, and in the mosfet versions of that radio, the supply couldn't handle the single mosfet final after a peak & tune... sure ain't gonna handle a dual final mosfet radio.

Stuff is getting so cheaply made it's ridiculous.

And between Ranger and the distributers, they don't know what to market this radio as? Touch-screen or no touch-screen? 25W or 150W? Who knows?

Yet another joke of a radio from Ranger.

~Cheers~

I been trying to get ahold of one but all the distributors are sold out. Hopefully range will get more in later this month.

Power testing.

I didnt believe it would have touch screen techonology but i thought maybe they had a beefy switching power supply that could power 150w. only 52w fully tuned up
