Recommendations for a ham mobile with 11 meters

Yaesu did make a mobile bracket for the 101 series radios.
I have one and the DC power cord, along with a few other old things in a storage unit somewhere.
I haven't opened that lock in a least 10 years.......
Bet the Mic elements in the D104's are crispy by now after a decade of 100 degree summers.
Someday.

Get a old yaesu ft- 101 . They have a DC wiring cord for mobile operation. make sure its bolted down or put it in a modified child car seat

I liked the 400 with its external VFO. It was a little more stable than the 350. The Swan 3 drifty’s internal VFO needed constant touchups. The photo doesn’t show where he placed the VFO.

I have a corvette and there is no way in hell I will ever put a radio in it.

Several ways to read that:

1). Your 1984 Crossfire Injection System already has enough gremlins.

2). You forgot that cars are to be used.

3). You aren’t really a radio operator. But you stay at XYZ Hotel chain once in a while.

“Purity” about a car might make sense if your Dad had owned it. Well, it’s yours, do what you will. But there aren’t any aesthetic points gained. Bias ply tires, like points ignition or using 1960s lubricants, just make the whole “purity” thing an exercise in wrong-headedness.
