P.S. I bought the book to see just what he's saying. Wiring for it to arrive. Your comment doesn't phase me either. I'm used to prople mistreating me.

Yeah, Glenn has access to info like so many others, and like them he has his own agenda and spin I'd like not to filter through. Glenn went away with Stern when they went off the public air. When locked in a can for a couple of hours, I could tolerate either one, about equally...

Where's the point - I do not see it? Cliven and his lust for the old-school neegro? I was going to follow that until it started to unravel.

Control

So far I've read Glenn Beck's book 'Control, exposing the truth about guns' book dedication. It's dedicated to Martin Luther King,Jr who in 1956 was denied a concealed carry permit by Alabama police.
Glenn Beck's overall thought so far I've read is,'The Right to Bear Arms Shall Not be infringed'.
In Glenn's book he debunks the common myths and lies that are often used to vilify guns and demean gun owners.

Personally I feel that us Americans who love our nation and hold fast to rights our founding father's secured for us should stand up and take our place as stalwarts to defend and protect our rights especially when it comes to our 2nd amendment rights.

It's my belief that the gun haters will try with each succeeding generation try to shape our thoughts about guns and so delude minds that the 2nd Amendment will be something outdated and then those RIGHTs will be taken away all together.
Gun haters love to control people. They're control freaks with delusional thinking processes. Reminds me of family relatives who are busy bodies, whom try to meddle in others affairs thinking they have a responsibility to run other people's lives.

Sufficient arms and ammo

This morning I was wondering how can us,the American people could keep the Obama regime and other gun haters from taking away 1. Availability of guns and variety(no gun ban) and 2. To be able to buy ammo freely without having to wait months just to buy ammo that's in high demand.
While looking I found this quote from George Washington from his first annual message from his state of the union address. This is why we need to know what our founding fathers intended for our nation instead of not knowing our nation's historical beginnings. To not just swallow anything from a oppressive socialist dictator like Obama and others of his kind.

"A free people ought not only be armed and disciplined, but they should have sufficient arms and ammunition to maintain a status of independence from any who might attempt to abuse them, which would include their own government."

that sounds good on the surface. what does it mean?

It is coming to justifying guns on a spaceship. Perhaps my motivation and interest in the issue are waning?

I live where every day I hear gunshots, mostly I'm sure from young street thugs. I've found bullets around my home, on the sidewalk, which have fallen from the sky.

I have not touched a gun in over a year now. They no longer serve me any useful purpose. Their use and even mere ownership provide significant liability issues.

Washington's quote suggests that everyone should posses tanks, drones, and nuclear missiles, etc... do we really want the gang banging juveniles to have that much?

"Shall not be infringed upon"

Anytime the American people get back more of their gun rights it's a good Thing. It's a sad sight to have gangs maintaining turfs and using guns for such activities. Gang violence just shows how corrupt and decrepit inner city people have become. Not holding life as something precious but to destroy. Like the George Washington quote,"A free people ought not only to be armed, but disciplined;". People that use guns for illegal practices including murder don't deserve to own a gun. People need to have proper training on handling guns. So many careless ones out there. I recently purchased a handgun but I plan on taking a gun training course especially so I can get a concealed carry permit. Having a concealed carry permit gives me a defense when in places that's presently legal to carry one as opposed to just having one which is highly restrictive.

That photo of the woman looks like a victim of spousal abuse. There are less messy ways of dealing with that.

There is no chance I could ever be granted ccw by any sheriff anywhere in my or neighboring counties. That would exempt you from the GFSZ issues, yes?

What is Obama signing? How can there be any reasonable discussion about it?

I was born and raised Texan and that meant loaded guns in the house. All the time everyday. We knew how to handle weapons at a very early age as this was the norm back then. I had my first BB gun when I was six years old and yes it was the Red Rider by Daisey.
I have CCDW issued by the state of Kentucky and carry the Smith&Wesson SW40VE. My wife carries a Glock 27. If either one of us had been at some of the recent shootings there would not have been as many people being wounded or killed. Years of training does not fade and we both would step up to the line to "Serve and Protect."(We still train together.)
Illinois has restrictive gun laws and the murder by fire arms is the highest in the country. Why? Because when "Guns are outlawed only outlaws will have guns."
