Hello, I'm currently working on an externally mint Sears CB model 564 however, I'm to the point that a Sams Manual would really come in handy. It's nearly impossible to find one but my question is: "Does this radio share the circuit board with another model either Sears or otherwise? I'd even be open to the idea of using another service manual for a different model that closely resembles this one like the Sears model 934.36740500. If anyone has any information about this radio or if I can use an alternate Sam's manual I'd greatly appreciate any help.

A lot of the Sears radios were built by Hitachi over seas.

A CB radio with the prefix "564"?

The only reference I can find to that 3-digit prefix in my files on a Sears product is an 8-track tape player.

    But not on a CB.

    Must really be an orphan.

I checked the Sams master index, and found a "564.3673 0600. It says only "audio" next to the reference, 31 pages photocopy only available

If yours doesn't have that many digits, it's not the same thing. For grins, I looked all through the "564" section of the index, and found not one reference to a Sams specialized "CB" volume. Just TVs, VCRs, car and home stereos.

Thanks So much for looking. I've added some photos in hope of getting more information. It's a really nice rig for what it is. I sure hope to put it back on the air. :)

With the entire model number, Google turned this up:

    https://www.samswebsite.com/en/photofact/search/index/page/2814/or/...

Third one down from the top of the list.

The triangle with the pointy corners seen under "Japan" in the solder side of the circuit board is the logo for "Matsushita", or Panasonic. That's who the vendor was for this radio.

Yes, They do seem like good radios! I like this one enough to buy another model with SSB. These things are just built well compared to new radios. Besides, I dislike throwing away anything that may be repaired. Good Luck with your roadtalker 40 too. :) 73.
