SGC SG-307 whip or MFJ 108 inch whip

I just bought a Yaesu 857D and already own the FC-40 tuner and want to install either the 108 inch stainless whip or the SG-307 on my mini Blazer. I have read an article about performance being the same? Price wise they are nowhere near the same,,,,,,

108" whip $18.95
SG-307 whip $265.00

Any thoughts?

I'd go with the 108 whip and see how you like it.I know a few guys that are running SGC or LDG tuners with the 108 whips and they are quite pleased.Their only regret is that people keep thinking they are CB'ers. It just does not have the "cool" factor.Can't beat the price.Let us know how you like the 857D.I have the straight 857 but added the DSP unit when I bought it.I love mine.
