personally if your transmitting that far out of 26.9650 - 27.4050 your playing with fire or asking for trouble. There are people watching and waiting for that activity LMAO.. Its like speeding in your car... you know its wrong so when yopu do it and if you eventually get caught theres only one blame.. 11 meters has plent of room for people to use why go where you know theres a petentiol for some big trouble. Now with that posted let me say a few things!!

I will agree that alot of CB's are overmodulated and sound like trash!! (splatter boxes) and Uncle charlie should have kept a liscence req, but they didn't and that is exactly the reason people use parts of the 10m band because you can't hear your friend on the next block for the bleed over but that does NOT and I repeat does NOT give anyone the right to be a biggot and look down on some one who chooses to use 11m over any other band! I will admit to using power with my radios but I do put filters on and make sure my nieghbors are not disturbed by my transmissions! I do not have the alc's in my radios dissabled but I do run close to 100% modulation! I have heard my radios from other stations they are crystal clear and even with the 150w pep amp you have to be right on top of me for it 2 distort or bleed!! And I'll tell ya what some of the tattle tailing that goes on sounds like some people never graduated kindergarden mentally GROW UP!

Yeah it's southern Hicks, yellin' and a bellowin' on a CB(or a converted 10 meter spatterbox take your pick) with a strong southern dialect, makes you think that they are hillbillies.
Channel six on CB is full of them, a few Northeners, but maily the guys with the power down in the south.

This is life, people judge you by the way you present yourself. Act like a truck driver, you will get little respect, act like your going to be the next president of the company, much more sucess.

So you just stay with your CB and listen to people that are sounding like they're fruggin drunk, that is your choice.

I have no Ideal where you get the Ideal that I like CW, I don't really, however it is a requirement to get a General class license, and acess to HF, so I will learn it and pass the test, I like CW as much as SSB, CW is just another mode.

Just to add my two cents I was born in N.C. lived in cinci OH till was 7 after my military service I went back to cinci and lived there for for about six years and I'll tell ya from what I've seen some of the radios up north are just as bad if not worse around the big city!

That's absolutely right.....my hometown was ~70mi NE of Cinci. and had to use an amp just to talk across town, and the majority of voices I heard was from the norththern states. Also I failed to comment on this: "This is life, people judge you by the way you present yourself" I could care less how I'm judged by other people....as far as I'm concerened, God is the only one that reserves that right. So I'll just be myself (good or bad) and not bother putting on a "front" to impress anyone because I believe that we are ALL equal reguardless of anything.....including a Ham ticket. I may disagree with you....but will never judge you, only form an opinion.
