Socialism: An ever increasing reality and threat

Small government. Let people,institutions decide on how they want to take care of healthcare. People take responsibility over their eating habits(eating healthy equals living healthy). The government's role should be to protect the nation from enemy attacks abroad and within,not providing any healthcare at all.
National government run(lorded over) healthcare is just another socialist idea.
P.S. From my perspective as a Christian,I have a responsibility to eat healthy,plus since I'm in Christ I have healing provided for me by the stripes Jesus bore on his back. I have been healed of several injuries and conditions by calling on the name of The Lord.
Isaiah 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
1 Peter 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
There is salvation which includes healing.

So according to you someone that cannot afford healthcare and has a heart attack because he has a history of it in his family but is otherwise healthy should just pray he gets better and when he dies ....oh well too bad so sad? Nice Christan thinking and compassion there buddy boy.
I'm saying that keep the government out of it and let those persons and institutions provide healthcare. There are billionaires that have a gift to make a lot of money. They could give(their choice) towards funding healthcare. I had a brother that passed away recently because of heart failure on account of a massive heart attack several years ago. He didn't follow the strict plan that the medical institution gave him in order to receive a heart transplant. The only reassurance I have about him is that he's with Jesus now and I'll meet up with him soon. I am not without feeling.
OK so now you are saying that those that cannot afford health care should rely on handouts from the wealthy IF the wealthy decide to fund health care. Wait a minute..........don't the wealthy already provide health care?? OH,... you have to PAY for that however...that's how they became wealthy in the first place. Try again.
I understand that the world in General has to try and provide some sort of healthcare for it's members. Every man,woman,boy and girl has been deposited with certain gifting a from our creator to do something in this earth. A lot reject Christ and continue to use their talents for their own gain. Others including Christians don't have a clue that they've been gifted and therefore haven't discovered their gifts much less developed them.
1/3 of my pay check is already going to Uncle Sam.
The world is in a big mess. One day things will be righted and the mess will go away. In the meantime socialism is rearing it's ugly head here in the states. What are we the people going to do about it?
The wealthy could fund medical institutions of their choice without being robbed by our government.
Sure they could but why would they? There is not enough money to do that for everyone that needs it and you cannot force people to put THEIR money into something like that. Like I already said wealthy people already fund medical institutions but they recoup their money by charging people for using those institutions. Why would they offer the same thing for free? If you think that there are enough wealthy people out there willing to fund free medical treatment for all those that need it then you are living in a dream world.
