SOLDERING ALUMINUM TO COPPER

For true soldering of these difficult metals, Super Alloy 1 melts at 350 degrees and works with a soldering iron. Larger jobs requiring more strength can use Super Alloy 5 that melts at 600 degrees with a bond stronger than the parent metal. I'm sure the paste works well in many applications but just offering other possibilities if more strength is required.

I found the Super Alloy rods very useful in rebuilding an old PDL II antenna. All the pressed on aluminum ends for the orbital gamma match received a nice bead around them. No more bad VSWR when the wind blows.
