As the instructions stated "jump 22K (223) resistor with a 4.7K resistor" as you did and was the correct way, but as others stated to jump pins 3 and 4 instead would be wrong ........ because the schematic is wrong.
Looking at and comparing the actual picture of the circuit and the schematic you posted ...... to me looks like the schematic itself is misprinted.
* R1086 = 100K (104), R1087 = 22K (223), R1088 = 47K (473)
* The schematic puts R1087 (22K) & C1092 across pins 3 & 4, with R1086 (100K) going to the capacitor C1082.
* The actual picture that you took of your circuit shows the opposite with R1087 (223/22K) going to capacitor C1082, with R1086 (100K) & C1092 going between pins 3 and 4.
Good job posting a picture of the actual circuit, then following the instructions ....... and not the schematic.

Did all your calculations, and confusion, get thrown out the window due to going by the (misprinted) schematic? I can understand why you thought a you did due to the misprint.
