No such thing as a 10 meter CB.
when there there are 5 skipped channels in the first 20 channels, when channels 24 and 25 come before channel 23, when its got 10khz channels with a 5khz offset, when you gotta use the clarifier to change frequency.........................................its a CB, i dont care if it operated on microwave frequencies, vhf, uhf or just a few multiple images of 40 channels up and down from 26.965-27.405.
radio amateurs used to swap the crystals in the old 23ch sets, unless its got a VFO, they made 10 meter CB's, same channel plan, tuning scheme, etc.
Now when i programmed the first 40 VFO memories in my kenwood, and programmed them starting wit 26.965,etc.............Its still a full coverage HF rig.
Sure I can tune the same on my Galaxy, but to scan the bands it goes something like, turn band selector to A, band switch to low, flip channels one through 3, then flip the 10khz switch, then slip the 10khz switch down and flip channels 4 throu 8, 10khz switch, 10khz switch, 9-etc,etc,etc, then turn the band selector, etc, etc, etc.
I hope galaxy makes a mode switch, the 10khz up switch should be changed to a 2khz,5khz,10khz switch and if possible within the limits of the chip have a mode where it goes just off freq, like you can do with alot of once "legit" 10 meter radios.
