please realize that things have changed since the japan earthquake.
the earth's axis has shifted and our rotation is slightly faster.

this means that the recent research into what might happen in 2012 doesnt necessarily hold true anymore.
currently, scientists are plugging in the new data, and we wont have new predictions just yet.
