Stock Mic on New RCI 2050 DX

Are the stock mics that come with the new RCI 2950 DX radios (with the channel buttons) servicable, or do they need to be replaced like most stock mikes?

The Galaxy hand mics are the same (the ones with the buttons) as the RCI mics.

I just recently replace one of the buttons on my RCI mic with one from a Galaxy mic. They look identical to me.

I am going to make a water gate of me on the new 2950 with the stock mic and see for myself.
