Stryker 955 left on. Won’t power on now and has 12 volts at plug

I left on my CB on the dash of my pickup
It now won’t turn on
I tested the voltage at the plug and it’s getting 12 volts
Any ideas what I could try before I call Stryker on Monday?
Thank you
E

If it's a new radio under warranty, that makes it a warranty problem.

Unless you're confident taking off the covers to take meter readings, that could be the best solution.

First thing I would do is check for voltage on both lugs of the power switch.

Take it back to whoever bought it from and worked on it. Im assuming you had it peaked and such. Definitely a warranty issue if its new at this point.

Thanks guys
I’m in Wildwood FL and may take it to Mesa CB to have them take a look before I mail it to Stryker.
I’m on the road so may buy a Cobra 25 to put in while my Stryker goes back for warranty work

Bite the bullet and get a Uniden 980. Good reasons to avoid any radio without sideband from here on. It’s cheap for what it does. A China Cobra is crap anyway.

Thanks guys

Yeah id go see Tony on Saturdays at Mesa. Youre about an hour or so north of me. Im down near Tampa. If you were down this way id loan you a 25 or a pc66 i have in the spare drawer.

Thanks for the kind offer my dude. I suspect I’m going to buy some extra radios to keep on hand as well.
I bought a Uniden pro 520xl and a hustler mag mount from Mesa for my wife’s car. So far I can’t really tell how it talks bc my truck bc died. Hoping to have a couple radios working well for my trip to S Florida on Wednesday. Can’t believe my Stryker has crapped on me but it’s likely my fault. thanks again for the offer. I’ll be over at Mesa today to see what I can work out for a short term solution while my Stryker gets fixed

Interesting option. Can the Uniden be tuned? Asking for a friend.
Yeah i know, uniden has gone shitty on us.
From the reports here it doesnt sound as though they need much tuning. Honestly if i found one at a decent price id buy it. They are a good radio and pair very well with the rm italy kl203 amp.

The beauty of the digital Unidens is to leave them alone.
Put an RM Italy KL-203 behind it.

So I go out and turn on the 955 today and it comes on
Yay!
So I go to get a noise canceling mic to replace one I bought for $25 at Loves. Also sprang for a President external speaker. Plugged in the new mic and it doesn’t work
Plugged in the old mic and it works perfect. took the mic back to Mesa CB. They test it and t works fine.
plug it back in and nothing on my radio. I called Stryker and they’re going to call me back.
What in the world Is going on? Is there a special style of mic for these radios

Stryker did say it was an approved model of microphone
