That's how you defeat the voltage regulator to the output transistors.

Sure, if you want your radio to sound like white noise.

Your voice will become very overmodulated and distorted.

I cap modulation at about 90% with regular speaking, so I've got a little room to work with. I suggest you do the same.

The short answer is no.
It would be better to have the radio properly aligned and tuned.
