Another rehashing of the same old....That panel layout looks... familiar.
I look at the cb type radio prices and just cringe, you can get a Yaesu FT891 for $650 and do the mod yourself to be on cb. Like you say the Anytone seems to be a Solid rig, I have the AT6666Pro and am very impressed with it, so much I bought another to put in truck. Its not a full on Ham Rig but its pretty impressive for $300 BUX. I am disappointed that my Quad6 only does 14 watts on 15 meter while others say theirs does 50W. I guess I could build another BLF188 amp for the mobile but my TarHeel is only good for 400W. I bet if Anytone could build a 100W 20-10 meter rig in the $400 dollar range they would have good seller. Lots of POTA ops would love a rig like that, so would Hams that dont have the restate to put up a big wire antenna. Why not add FM as it's a legit mode here now.
I swear I get that familiar feeling that they have shipping containers full of stuff and just mix it up once and awhile then put together a radio and give it a new name.
Ranger can do better than this.
If they would step up and build something to compete with the Anytone offerings
and gas was $.86 a gallon
and I was 50 years younger

Hmmmm LAZY at best it seems!Ah yes, the pig returns once again, with yet another layer of lipstick applied. And the price.............have they lost their minds completely? No FM, same old subpar noise reduction, same ugly styling, and probably drifts on SSB like they all do.
As Retro said above....UGH!
Sent a PM to you sir! But agreed yikes...Um, okay. A Galaxy DX959 in a bigger box/power supply with a bigger meter and more buttons. A DX2547 from a different importing company. RCI wants to sell radios, but the folks using the Galaxy name seem to have fallen on hard times.
Different lipstick, same bacon.
