Texas Star DX500 or 667, (non variables)

In my Humble Opinion, The 500 would be the better choice, the Lincoln puts out plenty of drive for a 500.
667`s do not like a lot of drive, they are better suited to a lower output radio.

The 500 would be the best choice. A 667 is for low drive radio's and I think only comes in a variable model. Years ago a local ran a hot 2510 into a 667, about twice a year he would blow the keying transistor out in the 667. The 500 is a hands down all around better choice.

You made a good choice. Have known some that complained about 667s. Never heard a bad word about the 500.
