This is an old HT I picked up. Works good.

I cannot find a manual, but my question is, what is the 16 key keypad for?

Is that for autopatch?

It has the numeric keypad and A,B,C,D.

Thanks, I got the ops. manual. It had two lines about the keypad...

I think the only difference with the A vs. B is that the B has a tone encoder. It's an OK radio. I just wish it had a means to power it from an external supply. I'll have to build a dummy battery
