Yea! Tell me about it! But for now, I have a Viagra blue dot 'B' version board on it's way for my 959. Won't take me as high on freqs but that will be for another day and maybe for something like a Yeticom Optima. The optima's frenquency spread is what I like about it.

I think someone has to pull the trigger and see what can be modded on the SS3. I don't have the expertise or the equipment.

I do remember seeing the mod for an earlier variant of the mini magnum. It was when they first hit the street. It's been a few years, but I remember it being easy.

I almost got one to mount in a little 90 Ford Festiva.

I just want to see the mod cause it's bugging me.

Well,the website I pasted says that it is a closeout sale so I don't know how much longer they'll sale that radio.
