Picked up this and a Shure Bros grey mic yesterday. This mic has only two wires, can it be wired up 4 pin to work on my export rigs and/or my 980 ?

This this weighs a bunch, I'd really like to be able to use it. The grey Shure unit is up for grabs if anyone is interested. 20210324_061838.jpg 20210324_061853.jpg 20210324_061905.jpg 20210324_063435.jpg

It is unlikely that you will be able to wire the microphone to a four pin without fairly in depth modification internally. Also, the element (may be a carbon type) would most likely have to be run through a hi-z to Lo-z converter (transformer) to get any real output from the mic. That is if the element is in working order at all. I have a mic very similar. I am thinking of trying to retro fit it to be able to use newer guts including a different switch. I just have to see if I even have anything that might work, or even fit!

What model is the Shure mic?
